Firstly, thank you again to you and your company for all the assistance given to both myself and Rebekah, it is greatly appreciated and my experience wouldn’t have been possible without you.
My experience in Selkirk, Scotland was something that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Not only was the rugby more challenging because of the difference in climate compared to South Africa, but made me push myself physically and mentally as well. Without the hospitality of the Selkirk people my stay there wouldn’t have been the same. Having the opportunity to travel to Scotland was an eye opening experience and one goal accomplished off my list. Being able to travel and see a new place while doing what I love is what I’ve always wanted to do and now I am finally living in that reality.
Overall the experience helped to groom me, and I grew as a player as well as it allowed other doors to open for me. Since this experience such opportunities include, playing for the South African Sevens Academy team in France, as well as making my Currie Cup debut for the Cell C Sharks. This is the oldest competition in World Rugby and I feel honoured as it has been a lifelong dream of mine to play in the Currie Cup.
Once again thank you to you and RDJ Sports Development for all of your assistance in making my trip possible.
