Elite High Performance Camps and Programmes

Looking back at 2019 and Planning for 2020/2021

It has been a relatively good year for the company in 2019 and we are hoping for the same in 2020 and 2021. With the Corona Virus lock-down putting paid to several planned camps in Sheffield, England as well as Texas and Florida over the Easter Period, this has given me some time to look back and see what has been achieved and what is yet to come.

With several camps being held in Lithuania, Czech Republic, and England, as well as working with groups in Orlando, Florida in partnership with the Celtic Barbarians from Canada and our coaches and referees working at the United World Games in Austria, it was a good summer. Our coaches come from a wide range of backgrounds, with several coaches having played for the Springboks and also ex Premiership and Super Rugby Players, together with 7’s Springbok ex Players.

Other programmes included working with Mount St Mary’s College in Sheffield to grow the game and improve the quality of rugby through coach placements, scholarship programmes and the annual summer camp. It also included programmes with Lithuania RFU, Czech RFU, Latvian Clubs, French Clubs, and several clubs and schools in England with similar programmes.

2020 Programmes and Camps will be extended to Canada and USA this year, making this part of the world a specific focus area for growth. We are also looking to repeat and increase the camps in Lithuania, Czech Republic, France and England, plus several camps in the USA and Canada. Germany and Holland are also focus areas for us.

A big focus in 2020 and 2021 will be placed on the school programmes and club programmes and looking to advance the work already in place at several schools and clubs. Another focus will be on providing High Performance Coaches and Referee workshops in Eastern Europe, as well as 7’s Camps in France and Eastern Europe. Strength & Conditioning Workshops will be included in these Elite Coaching Workshops. We have also started a new partnership which will see us providing a 7’s coaching programme for a schools festival in France over the Easter Weekend. More information to follow soon.

Finally, with the British Lions travelling to South Africa next year, we are planning a few surprises and looking to announce a few events and programmes around that soon. I am also pleased to welcome Gareth and Tony onto the team, who have been doing most of the behind the scenes and front office administration, whilst I focus mostly on my work with Ram International, supplier of Rugby and Cricket Equipment in the UK and Europe.
